First question…
New or used?
Well there are a couple of things that will help you make up your mind here, but number one will most probably be your bank manager. After owning both new and used skis there is nothing like the piece of mind knowing the full history. But saying that, there are some great bargains out there in the second hand market! My thoughts would be always buy the newest and one with the lowest hours that you can afford!

Question two…
Which type of ski and how many seats, or stand-up (pole ski)?
This is a bit of a person preference type question. What are you going to be using it for? Family fun, Racing, Playing in the waves, Fishing!
Most people start out by wanting a bit of a family fun type of ski, the type that you can turn up at the beach drop it in the water, go for a bit of a cruise, tow the ski biscuit or water skier around and let all the family and friends have a ride. For this type of ski you would want a 2+ seater. The bigger the ski the easier they are to ride and keep balanced and more suited to beginners. Most skis from 2000 on will suit this purpose.

What I would recommend is to spend some time and go to your local jetski dealer and have a chat to the staff. They are here to help, and with a quick chat about what you want to use your ski for they will be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise leave a message on our forum and our community will help you!
